These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ConnectedDisciple, including the website at https://connectbibleapp.redirectme.net and our mobile applications. By creating an account or using ConnectedDisciple, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
ConnectedDisciple is a Christian community app that may include profiles, chat, study groups/rooms, Bible reading, devotionals, and optional video calls. Features may change or be discontinued at any time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your region).
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Community standards
ConnectedDisciple is intended for respectful Christian fellowship and edifying conversation. You agree not to use ConnectedDisciple to:
- Harass, threaten, defame, or exploit others.
- Share illegal content, sexual content involving minors, or graphic pornography.
- Spam, scam, phish, or engage in commercial solicitation without our permission.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity in a deceptive way.
- Attempt to hack, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt the service or other users’ accounts.
- Post content that promotes violence, hate, or illegal activity.
4. User content
You retain rights to content you create (messages, notes, profile text, etc.). You grant us a limited license to host, store, transmit, and display that content so ConnectedDisciple can operate. You are solely responsible for your content. We may remove content or restrict access when we believe it violates these Terms or law, but we do not undertake to monitor every message.
5. Safety
Be careful when interacting with people you meet online. Do not share financial information, passwords, or sensitive personal data in chat. Video calls require camera and microphone permission on your device; you control those permissions in system settings.
You can report and block other users from Chat, Community, study group members, and related menus. We review open reports (typically within a few business days) and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Manage people you blocked under Profile → Safety.
6. Third-party services
ConnectedDisciple uses third-party services (for example Firebase for backend/auth and Agora for calls). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and policies. Bible text providers may impose their own license terms on scripture content.
7. Intellectual property
The ConnectedDisciple name, branding, app design, and code are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
8. Disclaimers
ConnectedDisciple is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, nor that content from other users is accurate or appropriate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of ConnectedDisciple. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) USD $50, if the service is free.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of ConnectedDisciple, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent allowed by law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using ConnectedDisciple and delete your account.
